Panauti: Located 32 km Southeast from Kathmandu city. Panauti is a historical small Newari village which offers the beautiful Hindu Temple Indreshwor Mahadev (12th-13th centuries). It is important in terms of natural as well as rich cultural and religious heritage of Nepal. It is also famous for the art gallery of beautiful and fine idols, woodcarving in the temple struts, doors and windows of the temples and monasteries. Here is a route uphill walk to the Namo Buddha monastery which takes one hour.
