Bhaktapur Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site): The ancient Bhaktapur city is also known as Bhadgaon and located 16 km east from Kathmandu city. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is situated in the center of Bhaktapur city. The Square was built by King Yaksha Malla in 15th century and was renovated by King Bhupatindra Malla in 17th century. This city is one of the unique master pieces of wood carving, stone carving and also for Pottery that preserves the world’s oldest pottery profession.
The Major attractions in Bhaktapur Durbar Square are: Golden Gate, The palace of 55 windows, Taleju Temple, Lion’s Gate, Vatsala Temple, Bhairava Nath Temple, Mini Pashupati temple, Nyatapola Temple and Pottery Square.
