Dakshinkali Temple: located 22 km southwest from Kathmandu city. This is one of the most famous hindu temple in Nepal and dedicated to Kali. The fearful form of Lord Shiva’s wife. Dakshin means south and Kali is derived from Hindu goddess. It means the goddess Kali of the south. Devotees gather for worship in a large mass especially on Tuesday and Saturday where they usually sacrifices cock and male goats. Also worship and sacrifices during the yearly holy festival Dashain held in September/October.
